Gail Barley
Principal
Gail spent her teens reading design magazines and redecorating any space she could get her hands on. Over the years, Gail developed her style through decorating her own homes and the homes of family and friends. After a lifetime of self study, Gail decided to turn her passion project into a career. She earned her decorating accreditation and opened Gail Barley Interiors in 2006.
As Principal decorator, Gail’s love of color and an appreciation for classical design shines throughout her portfolio. With an impeccable feeling for spaces and ability to visualize, Gail regularly tells her clients, “It looks exactly like I imagined!”. Her former experience in business administration gave her the ability to delegate, multi-task, and remember the finest of details in client projects. Gail prides herself on tuning into a client’s personal style and bringing it to life. Her designs are comfortable, liveable, timeless, and beautiful.
Gail has an abiding love for antiques and vintage pieces, allowing her to bring ageless elements to her designs. When she’s not running a successful interior design business, Gail is often spending time with her grandson, swinging a mallet on the croquet lawn, singing in her church choir, knitting, reading a book, or antiquing near her Appalachian summer home.
Claire Doster
Senior Designer
Claire began her design journey with a Degree in Art from the University of Tampa in 2013. After working in the printing industry, she decided to take Gail up on her offer to join the family business in 2015 and is now an integral part of the Gail Barley Interiors team.
In addition to collaborating on design decisions, Claire’s focus is client and vendor relations. Her role as Senior Designer at Gail Barley Interiors includes design work, procurement, logistics, vendor relations, client communications, interoffice solutions, and social media. If you have a problem, give Claire a call! She enjoys being challenged and thinking outside of the box.
When she’s not assisting clients, you can catch Claire at her favorite local park or spending time with her college-sweetheart-turned-husband and rambunctious toddler. As a voracious reader, Claire loves to tell clients what book they should read next!
Adrienne McDowell
Designer
Adrienne graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and a Minor in English. After graduation, she relocated from small-town PA to the booming market of Orlando. She has years of experience in construction, remodeling, and kitchen & bath design.
Since starting with Gail Barley Interiors in 2021, Adrienne works closely with the team on every step of the design process. She has a passion for mixing colors, pattern, and texture to create a cohesive design that captures the client’s personality and needs. Adrienne is responsible for all digital design presentation tools such as floor plans, design boards, 3D renderings, custom built-ins, and technical plans.
Outside of design, Adrienne enjoys reading, journaling, live music, and scouring local vintage and thrift stores.
